Join Proper Motion’s Lisa Maris McDonell for Contemporary Dance classes for ADULTS in 2025!

Whether you’re just starting out on your dance journey for the first time, continuing your training or are interested in returning to dance after a break, these classes cater specifically for the adult learner.

Adult Contemporary Dance: Thursdays 7:15pm - 8:30pm

Term 2: 1st May - 3rd July (no class 22nd May)

Classes are at 88-92 Jardine Street, Fairy Meadow

About the teacher, Lisa Maris McDonell

Lisa has taught contemporary dance, ballet, choreography, improvisation, repertoire, dance history, movement studies, industry studies and company class at many renowned  Australian organisations and institutions such as the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Edith Cowan University) Dance and Musical Theatre departments, NAISDA Dance College, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company, University of Wollongong, Australasian Dance Collective and  the full-time vocational course at Joanne Grace School of Dance, as well as dance schools and professional companies in Ireland and The Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in Turkey. She has around 25 years of teaching, professional performance and choreography experience and continuously updates and revises her teaching practices to reflect the current needs of today’s dance students.
